It can be lonely at the top, and often the best support system is with fellow Chiefs/Sheriffs who are walking the same path. Together, you can take the time to focus on personal and organizational resilience, while balancing assertiveness that fosters trust at all levels of your organization.
This 3 day / 2 night workshop is held at our Eagle Creek Retreat Center in Idyllwild, California. Along with other Chiefs/Sheriffs, you will strengthen skills so others will continue to see you as a respected, competent, and compassionate leader. You will also learn how to improve work-life balance, while creating a healthier culture for your department.
This workshop is exclusively for the Police Chief/Sheriff. Other command staff should attend our Command Staff Resilience Retreat.

“I recently attended the Police Chief Retreat in Idyllwild (March 2024), and it was an experience that I will never forget. The retreat was a wonderful place to offload much of the baggage that can accumulate over a long career in policing. As a Chief, there are limited to no options for sharing frustrations because we all know you can’t ‘complain down’ and most of us won’t ‘complain up’ to our city managers. Being able to connect with other Police Chiefs was refreshing and extremely valuable.”
Tucked away in the mountains, together we will unplug from the distractions of daily life and keep things as natural as possible. Peace and quiet are essential to unpacking challenges and pursuing wellness. You will be able to take a deep breath of fresh air, let your guard down, and get away for a few days – focused solely on health and healing.
